Operation Mechanism
The radio can be powered from four different sources:
1. The built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery that takes
charges from the dymano crank and from the AC adapter.

result. So while cranking the dynamo,it is better to have
have everything turned off including the flash/torch
light. With the hand crank dynamo,radio operation time
depends on the number of turns and time per turn. Switch the
power selector to the off position, turn the dynamo crank
either clockwise or counter clockwise. The red charging LED
will be on while charging,that is, the continuous cranking of
the dynamo and then turn the radio on, switch the power
selector to the dynamo/adapter position.
The built-in battery: this built-in rechargeable battery is
nickel-metal hydride {Ni-MH} battery pack. It is charged by
cranking the dynamo rapidly {winding the dynamo} about two
turns per second, resulting in up to 60 minutes of low volume
radio play when the battery is still fresh. The battery pack
is located in the battery compartment and can be replaced once
it can no longer hold charge. Since they portable telephone
batteries,they can easily be purchased at electronic or retail
stores.
The conventional batteries: install the batteries by removing
the battery compartment cover and fix it in. Turn the radio on
by pushing the power selector to battery position and tune the
station of your choice. Rechargeable batteries can also be used
but they must be charged with their own chargers.
Marketing.
Nigeria is a country of over 140 million people. A greater
number of this population lives in the rural areas where power
holding company of Nigeria is non existent. However the rural
communities that are lucky to get connected to the national
grid witness very erratic power supply. Even in the cities
where power supply is a often available, the people
depends on other source of power supply.
Nevertheless,people must follow events as they happen around
